About the unit

Suite 100 is a fast paced, changing OR environment, consisting of 9 ORs. Service lines include ophthalmology, podiatry, sports medicine, hands, breasts, microvascular plastic reconstruction, reconstructive plastics, general surgery procedures, and robotic surgery. We provide care for both pediatric and adult patient populations. Suite 100 utilizes a teamwork approach, comprised of RNs, Surgical Technologists, and Surgery Support Staff to provide compassionate care for patients while supporting surgeons and anesthesia providers throughoutthesurgical procedure.Patient safety is primary focus, along with providing patient -family centered care. On call is required.

Scope of work

Works under the direction of the Operating Room Attendant Supervisor. Turnover the OR room, wipe all the equipment down in the OR room, mop the floors, assist the OR staff with room turnover, bring in equipment for the following case. Assist with moving patient back to the stretcher/bed at the end of the case.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Required
• Six months to one year prior OR assistant experience is Preferred
